| 1. | What is meant by an Accredited Centre (PB)? | |
| An Accredited Centre (PB) is an organization, whether a training institute or company, which has been approved by JPK to implement NOSS-based skills training programmes. | ||
| 2. | What are the conditions or criteria to be an Accredited Centre? | |

| 3. | How to apply to become a JPK Accredited Centre? | |
| Apply online at http://eskm.dsd.gov.my and send together with supporting documents and a payment of RM1500.00 in the form of a bank draft or money order made payable to “Director General Skills Development”. Please refer to the "Implementation and Certification Requirements for Accredited Centres under Malaysia Skills Certification System Guide 2012” which can be downloaded from the JPK website. |

| 4. | What qualifications are required of an Assessment Officer (PP) at an accredited centre? | |
| She has a letter of appointment from an accredited centre, had attended the Accreditation Induction Course successfully, possesses SKM which is at least 1 level higher than the level she is teaching and has teaching techniques certificates recognized by the JPK. | ||
| 5. | How do I renew the accreditation? | |
| Apply online at http://eskm.dsd.gov.my and send together with supporting documents and a payment of RM200.00 for each programme in the form of a bank draft or money order made payable to “Ketua Pengarah Pembangunan Kemahiran”. | ||
| 6. | What are the skills training programmes that may be offered by an Accredited Centre? | |
| Based on the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS) developed. Please refer to the JPK website to check the NOSS register. | ||
| 7. | After submitting the application for an Accredited Centre, how long do I have to wait for the decision of whether it has been approved or not? | |
| The results may be known within a period of 3 months if the application is complete and all requirements as stated in the guidelines are followed. | ||
| 8. | Who may qualify for the skills training programme? | |
| Citizens who are literate in Malay or English; possessing a lower level of SKM to participate in a higher level of SKM in the same course. However, Accredited Centres can prescribe other conditions for their trainees. | ||
| 9. | What is the duration of training for the Malaysia Skills Certification Programme? | |

| 10. | Can former juvenile detainees or anyone who had been convicted for a criminal offence attend the training programmes at Accredited Centres? | |
| Yes, they can. Anyone is allowed to attend training irrespective of race, religion, gender, past history and so on. Most important is that the individual is interested, qualified and able to follow the relevant programme. For your information, the JPK programme is also offered at one-stop centres, rehabilitation centres and even in prisons. | ||
| 11. | Which form is used to apply for the issuance of SKM? | |

| 12. | How do I apply for a PPL visit? | |
| You must apply to the Department of Skills Development at least one month before the date of the PPL visit. Applicants should send a name list of the prospective trainees to be verified. | 13. | What is the registration fee for an international candidate? | |
