• To continuously evaluate and recommend the current and future skills requirements for skilled and semi-skilled workers;
• To identify and assess the implementation of current vocational training programmes and activities by public training institutions to ensure that they are being implemented according to the needs and priorities of vocational training and recommend relevant amendments and changes;
• To evaluate and determine the need for advancement of existing training programmes or to develop and carry out new vocational training programmes by public training institutions.
• To advise the government on matters pertaining to the suitability of vocational training programmes proposed by public training agencies aimed at prioritising vocational training requirements.
