NCS Core Abilities
The National Competency Standard (NCS) - Core Abilities is a core learning programme which is mandatory for all Certificate candidates effective as of 01 June 2006. This standard is to be used as a complement to the existing NOSS towards making workers in Malaysia more relevant and competitive in this era of globalisation. The Core-Abilities Programme applies the generic skills required for each worker for any particular field of work. For the implementation of an even more effective Core Abilities programme, JPK has made improvements to the Implementation Guide of NCS-Core Abilities (JPK/07/NCS-CORE ABILITIES(P1). Accordingly, all PB should conduct programmes based on the guide so that the learning session and assessment can be carried out more effectively and in accordance with the new assessment system.
